As a Grammy award winning DJ, remixer, producer and co-owner of Def Mix
Productions; David Morales is setting trends.  David hails from the street
of Brooklyn, which influences his unique style behind the DJ booth as well
as the studio.  It?s that style that brings guts and accessibility to his
music.  As a co-owner, Morales, with his partner Judy Weinstein have
established Def Mix as one of the world?s most successful dance music
production companies.  His celebrity has established a place for him in the
pages of International magazines such as Wallpaper, Vibe, Vogue, ID, L?Uomo,
and Ministry.  Def Mix?s management arm is the watchful eye for the careers
of Frankie Knuckles, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero and Bobby D? Ambrosio.

In the early days of MTV, Def Mix was the official consultant for the hi
profile dance weekly show ?The Grind? with Morales as one of several guest
DJ?s.  He continues working with MTV Europe and was asked to DJ for the
massive ?MTV in Ibiza? party in 2000 and 2001.  Morales is the International
spokesperson for MTV Generator 2.  He has also appeared on premier music TV
channels such as MuchMusic, BBC, Black Entertainment Television and many
others around the world.

2001 he stormed the charts and performed his European pop hit ?Needin?U II?
on England?s ?Top of the Pops? with Dance Diva Juliet Roberts.  David?s,
weekly Friday night radio show ?Live from New York City? is in its 2nd year
with the Galaxy Network.  It brings listeners through out the UK a
transatlantic experience including gossip and interviews of guests passing
by. His guest mix shows on Italy?s Radio Italian Network, Scotland?s
Colours, New York?s WKTU, along with other guest mix shows continues his
profile as one of the top DJ personalities in the World.

As a Producer/Remixer, Morales has worked with top recording artists such as
Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys, Enrique Iglesias, Eric Clapton, Seal, Janet
Jackson, Tina Turner, Jamiroquai, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Spice
Girls and Toni Braxton.  He mixes for his peers and electronic music artists
such as Basement Jaxx, Photek, Satoshi Tomiie, and Sasha.

David was nominated in 1996 for a Grammy Award celebrating his production of
Mariah Carey?s ?Fantasy?.  David and Mariah continued to collaborate which
led to his second Grammy nomination in 1997 for ?Best Remixer?.   In 1998
Morales finally received his much-deserved Grammy Award for ?Remixer of The
Year?. 

Also in 1997, David and his Def Mix partner Judy Weinstein launched
?Definity Records?. David?s first release on the label, a track entitled The
Face, ?Needin? U? soared to #1 on the Billboard Dance chart in the USA and
enjoyed great success in Europe with a #8 position on the UK Pop Chart.  The
video for The Face topped the MTV Europe Dance Chart at #1.  His remix and
2001 vocal version of  ?Needin? U II? featuring Juliet Roberts.  It entered
top 15 in 4 countries and repeated its earlier success as a chart topper all
over the world. In 2002, Morales? Definity label has continued its success
with top 10 USA Dance hit singles like Pete Moss & Terra Deva?s ?After 2?
and Automagic feat. Nashom ?I?ll Be Here? plus singles from Bobby D?Ambrosio
?So Thankful? and his Here I Am? album.  Frankie Knuckles ?Keep on Movin?
single topped the charts and launched Definity Records first full length CD
entitled ?Motivation?.  With critical acclaim it was the first project to
grace the pages of magazines such as Essence, Vibe, Black Beat and the
Advocate for the company.

David Morales is focusing on his writing and producing this year for his own
project due to release summer 2003.  His 928 ?Siren of Love? single is a
move towards where his album is going and has been quoted as being something
refreshing and unexpected for Morales.  The forthcoming album is a
collaboration from some startling fresh talent from the US and UK.  A
mixture of new sounds and Morales style this album is expecting to turn
heads with its musicianship as well as new fresh vocal talent.
His 2003 Def Mix tour (15th anniversary) is launching in Australia late
February and early March and will continue throughout the world until
October.
