Here's what's HOT this week
Walter Jones - All God's Children *Juan Nunez & Little Chris / Maurice Fulton Rmx - OK, finally released...2 mixed for you...the Juan Nunez & Little Chris rmx is a deep bassline, percussive house monster that's been getting hammered by Doc lately. Flip it over and the Maurice Fulton remix is an electro, 80's sounding track that at first sounds weird...but let it play, let the keys come in, and you have a wonderful piece that had the DFA guys singing much praise...check it out!

Krisp - Farlige Fiffus - One of the limited releases we picked up from the Telle shipment from Norway. Upbeat, funky, quirky house music, sound like something the Idjuts/Ray Mang would make...solid release and limited!

Wibutee - First There Was Jazz - Haven't been able to keep this one in stock. Super dope smooth bassline deep house cut from the left field minded Jazz Land label. We love this label, this one is no short of spectacular! solid...

Automan- Automan 6 - Another fine selection of crazy 80's, electro, italo madness. If it's not a re-edit, it's a traight bootleg...whatever it is, we like it. Another winner.

Ndambi - Call Me - White label re-edit, midtempo styled production very much in a Moodyman, Amp Fiddler vein. We love this record, flip it over for a solid, tight production dub. Late night, early morning special. Limited last week, full stocks this week.

Moodyman - I'm Doing Fine - Re-release of the previous Moodyman release "I'm Doing Fine" on the Pandamonium label. We sold out the first time round, get it again.

Subway Tracks - Volume Two - Upbeat house cut, percussive overtones that's been getting tons of love from everyone here at the shop. Absolutely wicked mate!

Danny Krivit - Edits by Mr. K - CD of Danny Krivit edits. These edits are mad limited, never released, and are what make Danny Krivit, Danny Krivit. LP out in about a month, don't sleep. Catch Danny Krivit at the WAX Party on June 7th!

Uusi Fantasia - Takaisn - Wrote about this one a while ago, been on our top 20 for some time, finally the limited 10" is back in stock! If you missed it, pick it up second time around...we love it! Funky house music at it's best...we love the sound transition about half way through.

Sat. March 15th - MAURICE FULTON (Nuphonic, UK), It's the return of the man with the walkman headphones, playing everything under the sun. If you missed the last one, ask someone who was there. Definitely one of our favorite nights in 2002, we are excited to have him back @ WAX... don't miss it!

Sat. March 29th - Disco Adventure (Late Night, 'til 6am!) w/ Special Guest DJ HARVEY. The man behind the WAX Classics returns to the WAX Party for the first time in 6 months. Get ready for a late night session with Mr. Black Cock himself.

April... WAX 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, all month long!!
Sat. April 12th - 4 Year Anniversary Party, Late Night w/ special guest FRANÇOIS K. (Wave Music, NYC) extended 6 hour set. Expect a rough mix of house, techno, disco, and everything in between as we kick off our month long anniversary celebration with a true legend. We will be going until at least 6am on this night, get ready, make plans, contact the baby sitters, 'cause it's on!

Sat. April 26th - 4 Year Anniversary Party, celebrating 4 years of WAX Records in Los Angeles. DJ's for the night are WAX's own JUAN NUNEZ, LITTLE CHRIS, AZTECH SOL, KASEY GOTO, with giveaways, surprises, etc. Thank you Los Angeles!

Coming in June - DANNY KRIVIT (NYC) - one of the original members of the Body & Soul trio, Danny plays an eclectic mix of house, disco re-edits, funk, etc. Check out his most recent "Re-Edits By Mr. K" CD on Strut. This is his second LA appearance, extended set. We are excited to have him back in LA!
