[Dynagroove] House is a Feeling!

Seriously, I don't think I can buy enough CHEEZE to go with all the WHINES about this.
Shit happens, not every party will rock nor will a certain dj rock all the time, they are human after all.
Now that I think about it, I think Costco might have enough cheeze for all the whines.

never truly have the house vibe that we are all looking for. The night
started pretty bad I thought. Definitely way too many people walking around.

As for the music, I didn't think anyone was really that great that night.
But Mark Farina did spin better than I thought he would. I was shocked at
the fact that he didn't play downtempo jazz all nite (its a good thing). I
particularly liked his pharcyde remix and the 20's swing track (yes,
sometimes remixes are not that bad). Noticed that a lot of dj's are playing
sounds-great-if-you-are-lounging music these days. I personally go to get
my groove on and I can't do that with the lounge sound.

Overall, it was okay but not worth what they were charging. But we all knew
that it wasn't going to be a get-down-n-shake-your-ass-all-nite kinda thing.
I luckily got my ass over to wax and got the presale for a little less but I
would think if you are going to charge $30, it better be damn good or give
it back some other way (like the sublevel party - besides the good music,
they also gave out free drinks and redbull).

Besides the venue and the music, I think the worse part about the whole
thing is that they did advertise it as $25 at the door and not $30. I
honestly HATE that. I know its a business but shouldn't there be a level of
honestly still? This goes hand in hand with the announcement on the mic at
4 that it is over and everyone needs to get the hell out.

I was at King King a couple weekends ago and they did the same thing (charge
$10 instead of $5 before 11pm). I have no problem paying at all. But you
can't say one thing to get the people there and say something else later
once we arrive. Just don't advertise it if you can't back it up. That's
just not cool!

I think even if the music or the venue isn't that great, its usually what
you and the crowd make of it. But for me, what makes the biggest difference
at the end of the nite is what the promoters' intentions were to begin with
and their attitude.
