Of course I decide to post now that this topic is getting crusty, but what
the hell.

I had a GREAT time at H.I.A.F. and yes, many of the DJ's I heard were not
giving me what I need to get my groove going, but regardless I think an
experience CAN be what you make it. And if your looking for negatives,
you're going to see negatives, and if your looking for positives, you'll see
positives. I haven't heard Mark spin a set in a very long time, and while he
did start off kind of slow and loungy, his set definitely progressed to a
level that was very pleasing and definitely fed me what I had been waiting
for since I got there. And you've all heard that cliche, 'familiarity breeds
contempt' and I think it's human nature. If we all spent a little more time
trying to have a good time rather than looking for something to bitch about I
bet we'd be seeing a lot more positive reviews on this mailing list. I also
thought the venue was great. Air conditioned, plenty of space to dance, 3
rooms? C'mon people. It's just as easy to look through a rose colored lens
as it is to look through a shit colored lens.

Peez,

Nicoli
