What DOES ALL THIS INCLUDE??
 
A night filled with conversations, thought provoking ideas, laughter and OF
COURSE the music. 
 
There is a vision that we come together this night for more then just the
music, that we will come together to TALK and EXCHANGE IDEAS. There is a
vision that though the conversation, new ideas will be exchanged and
movements will be born. If you want to talk and exchange ideas, we ask that
you come prepared to do just that. Please feel free to bring articles you
wrote, or found about the subject. Bring information to share, web sights,
books, speeches, and art, or whatever. The idea is to start the
conversation.  
 
For example...this Sunday could be the day before our country decides to go
to war with IRAQ...There are all sorts of questions, concerns, legal matters
that still need to be addressed and talked about. What does this war mean to
us? What will happen in the international arena if the United States decides
to start bombing with out the UN approval? Is this war even LEGAL? How much
will it cost? What about "forcing democracy" upon other nations? Does the
United States have the right to declare who is evil? What is the real reason
for the war? Are there alternatives to oil? Will this war cause more
terrorism? What if the US decides to use nuclear weapons, did you know that
they talked about "mini nukes"? What about the US involvement with Iraq? How
long have we had a relationship with them? With Saddam? What ever happened
to Osama, isn't that who we waged war on? I think we as community, and as a
family, need to start these conversations, and let our voices be heard.
