Danny Krivit is one third of NYC's now classic Sunday afternoon jam Body &
Soul, along with Francois K. & Joe Claussell where he was known for dropping
house,techno, disco and just about everything else under the sun. He has
done production on James Brown's "Give It Up, Turn It Loose" and the Loft
anthem "Love Is the Message" by MFSB. He recently released a compilation of
his personal one of a kind classic re-edits entitled "Edits by Mr. K" on
Strut, and previous to that the WAX best-seller "Expansions" mixed CD on the
NRK label. Known throughout the East Coast, Japan, and Europe as one of the
figureheads in the ever popular re-edit craze and for being at the forefront
of upfront house music, D.K. stops by WAX in L.A. to drop some house,
classics, and his own ultra rare re-edits!

WAX 2003 SCHEDULE
Sat. June 7th - "Night with Mr. K" with special guest DANNY KRIVIT (NYC) -
one of the original members of the Body & Soul trio along with François K. &
Joe Claussell, Danny plays an eclectic mix of house, disco re-edits, funk,
etc. Check out his most recent "Re-Edits By Mr. K" CD on Strut, or his
"Expansions" compilation on NRK. This is his second LA appearance, extended
set. We are excited to have him back in LA for the first time in over a
year! Extended Play, 'til 6am!
Sat. June 21st - DJ YELLOW (Yellow Music, Africanism / France) - Was with us
for the Bossa Mundo tour along with FRANÇOIS K. in December, back with us on
his own for some great deep house music. Constantly releasing quality music
on the Yellow and Africanism labels, just started a new label called Art Of
Disco, and 1/2 of Bob Sinclair, Yellow is known throughout the world as
being at the forefront of all things deep and funky. Recently played at Deep
with King Britt lat last summer, he know visits us on his own for an
extended set!
Sat. July 5th - THEO PARRISH (Sound Signature / Detroit), the man behind the
Sound Signature label and the Ebay massive Ugly Edits, one-third of the
"Three Chairs" along with Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodyman and Rick Whilhite
(watch out for the new album coming soon), and the king of all things funky
returns back to LA to set off some fireworks. Extended Set, we're excited!
Sat. July 19th - MARQUES WYATT (Deep, "Where House Lives"), back again for
the first time since the remodel, excited to have one of the original
Revival members back with us!
Sat. August 2nd - LARRY HEARD & BRETT DANCER (Track Mode / Detroit),
Legendary MR. FINGERS along with the Track Mode label head Brett Dancer
visits the WAX party to celebrate the release of the latest Larry Heard
album "Where Life Begins". Larry Heard has produced many dance classics
including the all time house classic "Washing Machine", and numerous remixes
including Glowing Glisses - "On The Bridge" as featured on Doc Martin's
latest mix CD for Fabric. Larry Heard is a LEGEND for today, tomorrow, and
beyond, hope to see everyone out for this special night.

In celebration of his upcoming mix CD compilation for FABRIC (London, UK),
WAX will be hosting a special in-store appearance by LA's original house
hero, DOC MARTIN!

The lowdown:
