Hi Everyone,

I hope this note finds you well! I’m writing to inform you of the
upcoming launch of
Who Is Your Leader ?, a new political fashion line and website that will
feature
provocative works created by writers, artists and photographers.

I got the pitch and looked at the t-shirt designs last night and this
looks like the start of something very cool with the long-term potential
to make a difference.

If you are interested in contributing to the site, please read below for
more details.

This probably won’t be the last you hear from me about this project so
if you'd like to be removed from this list, just send me an email and
I’ll be happy to refrain from sending you news and updates about Who Is
Your Leader?. Honestly, however, I don’t recommend opting out of this
list - this is an endeavor to watch.

Finally, if you decide to submit your work, please tell them Amanda M.
sent you! = )

Please respond privately with questions & until next time, be well and
stay informed.

Be good,

Amanda M.

P.S. BUSH IS EVIL.

------------------
 Who Is Your Leader?

-A sexy startup with a political edge, preparing to launch its new
Fashions
next Friday.  The clothing line features American Apparel gear, souped
up
with our quasi-political designs.

Don't worry; we don't preach, we just mock and hope to provoke.
--------------------------------

WhoIsYourLeader.com

-An online presence, also launching next Friday, sponsored by the
clothes
sold within, but designed as a subversive art collective.

-WhoIsYourLeader.com will pay percentages of weekly profits from Who is
Your
Leader?  to photographers, artists, and writers of fiction, poetry, and
editorial-style rhetoric from across the country.

-We are open-minded about the kind of work we will post, but would like
to
help disseminate provocative, challenging and/or sexy art, which is at
least
vaguely related to something along the lines of: Power, Leadership, Sex,
Hegemony, Politics, Sexual Politics, George Bush, Brainwashing, Current
Events, Fear, History, Nationalism, Election '04, War, Domestic Policy,
etc.

-Each week, we will choose our favorite submissions from three
categories,
and our most favorite submission overall, or "Submission of the Week,”
all of which we will post on our website.

-The "Submission of the Week" will receive a 4% share of gross sales for
7
days, and our favorites from the other 2 categories will receive a 1%
share.

-When we notify a writer or artist that his/her art has been selected,
we
will also ask whether s/he is interested in giving readers and viewers
the opportunity to respond to the work. If so, we will forward any
interesting
responses to the writer or artist and allow them the opportunity to
respond publicly, creating a dialog.

-In addition, each artist will have the opportunity (only if it is
something
s/he wants to do) to write a brief and interesting pop-up bio which will
be
linked at the bottom of the work and included at our discretion.

-Below you can find descriptions of the three categories of submissions.

Don't be shy!  We can't wait to see your work!!

A. Fiction and Poetry
This probably doesn't require explanation.  If you have written any
short stories
or poetry (750 words or less) that you think may apply, please send ONE
to us.  This category is very open, in terms of genre.

B. Photography, Photo Essays and Photographs of other Art Project
Much like letter A, there are no set rules here.  Send us a great series
of JPGs,
even if you are not sure whether the themes are related to what we are
doing,
and you just may get the opportunity to galvanize the masses!

C. Editorials and Rhetoric
If you have written any creative and thought-provoking editorials or
political essays (750 words or less) that you think are relevant, send
us your best one.  Some of our friends, who are interested in expressing
political views, have asked how they should begin a rhetorical or
editorial work: "What are some good topics? Can you explain the tone
and voice?  How detailed should I get?" etc.  If you are finding
yourself stumped in this way, just write a letter that begins…

"Dear Mr. Bush”...and unleash that witty, repressed, subversive beast
within.

**Please EMAIL all submissions to submissions at cattlebeast.com **

Thanks for reading this far! We can't tell you how excited we are to
start
posting some great work for the world (wide web) to see!!
