[Dynagroove] Mark Farina & Derrick Carter Review

Well, my night started off by canceling all other priorities and focused on another lesson by the Teacher himself,  Mark Farina….

 

I pulled up to the parking lot only to find a huge ass line outside the Venue.  Promoted a little for an Afterhours Party that Jordan, Theory, and myself, Ben-Jammin will be playing this Saturday Night (5am till the Wheels fall off @ Catch One Disco).  By the time I forked up $30.00 to get in, I knew my ass was going to dance as if there was no tomorrow, especially if you pay $30 bucks.  

 

When I walked inside the actual club, from the bar to the front of the DJ booth, there must have been at least 600 plus of capacity.  The crowd was really bumped by L.A. ‘s Deep Marques Wyatt warming up the decks.  Though I’ll admit, I won’t pay a dime to hear Marques just because he can’t make me move on the dance floor, he had the crowd ready for the next DJ, Mark Farina!

 

As soon as the MC announced the next DJ,  the entire place flipped the switched.  The entire vibe changed it’s core with Farina’s first track, which by the way is one I wouldn’t mind hunting down!!!!  Over all, in my 12 years of going out to clubs, I don’t know what ya’ll think about my own personal opinion towards House Music, but damm, Farina Killed it!  

 

Soon after Mark’s set came Derrick Carter.  He took what Mark left and continued on.  At first, Derrick kept the BPM (Beats Per Minute) at the same rate, but by the time my so called mentor(MF) Fucked The Shit Out Of The Joint, I was to freakin tired to stand up.  So I left the venue @ 3am so that I could rest up for my 8am-6pm office job the next mourning(Yeah!).

 

Over all, I thought the party was really good for a Thursday.  And to have it be held in a Downtown Venue, man, it doesn’t get better than to hold an epic event in the True L.A. location, NOT HOLLYWOOD (DRAMA SCENE!)

 

On another note:  I have a new mixed CD ready for your listening enjoyment,  I’ll be at Dynagroove this Saturday getting my groove on again before trecking over to Catch One Disco for the Afterhours.  I’ll bring as many as I can so, first come first serve. The Catch, if some of you haven’t heard already, is under new management and with something new, comes a change in the positive direction.  Hope the people on this list can show support for a friend of mine who had a life altering experience afew weeks ago and is still alive to put together a positive attitude towards making things happen.
