[Dynagroove] about the DEEP

the best part of the evening, for me, was King Britt's
set; all early with no one there. LA, not sure where
all yer heads were at that night. I was glad and
thankful for the space on the floor... Thank you
MWyatt and the Deep Family for bringin' talent like
him out to LA through the years. 

On the other hand... while I'm rejoicing that KB put
down Outra Lugar... some man hops and prances around
me me.. screaming "WHOOOOO! GO GO!!! ... DO IT! DO
IT!". Fine. I graciously smile and dance further away
from him, towards the stage.

I hear his voice coming closer to me. I think "Don't
acknowledge him don't let him freak you...

SLAP! The male-idiot smacked me on the ass. I was not
even near the fellow! There was no suggestive 
grindin', no come-hither glances exchanged... NADA.
that's fcking cute, huh? I sure hope the security guy
manning the backstage door didn't see it.

 I arrived at 7:15pm (it started at 5pm) and there was
no line at all.
It was only $10.00 to get in before 8pm.  I agree it
did get really
crowded at one point in the evening, more than I've
ever seen it...but 
I
was really only there to hear King Britt, who was
absolutely amazing,
soulful and very deep. He is truly the KING!
 The only thing that was a "joke" was Miguel Migs'
set..... he is so
highly overrated and in my humble opinion does not
belong at a place
like Deep...take it to a "rave" or something....give
me a fuckin' 
break!
Farina was much better than Migs but still too hard
for my taste...It
took me a while to get into his set but by that time I
was so bored I
left.
