Tim Phin is the founder of REMIX Magazine, one of New Zealand and
Australia¹s most successful fashion and music publications. Tim is also one
of New Zealand¹s most popular DJs and producers.

Since first embarking on the REMIX project six years ago, Tim has formed
strong links within the global dance music community cementing his own
reputation as a skilled DJ and supporter of the very best in soulful, party
house music.

REMIX Magazine has become well known for its support of dance music its
promotion of local talent in New Zealand and Australia. Every issue of REMIX
comes with a free promo CD mixed by a talented local DJ. This feature has
seen REMIX magazine launch and consolidate the careers of many New Zealand
and Australian DJs, and the REMIX CDs are well known and respected
throughout the New Zealand and Australian music industries. Amongst the
dance music community they have become much-coveted collectors items,
treasured and much played on stereos and sound systems on both sides of the
Tasman and beyond.

Tim Phin mixed one of the first REMIX CDs back in 2000, selecting a smooth
mix of underground house tracks encompassing deep house, soulful vocal
tracks and a couple of party tunes to provide that dancefloor peak. This CD
remains one of our most successful.

As Tim¹s DJ career began to take off, Tim instigated the Our House mix-CD
series.

The first Our House compilation (double mix-CD) was released in 2001 through
Universal Music in both New Zealand and Australia and achieved excellent
sales.

The Our House Music CDs are a perfect representation of the Tim Phin sound -
deep tunes, uplifting vocals and the odd dancefloor favourite, all mixed
together to stimulate body and soul. Tim has now released three separate
double-CD volumes of Our House all of which have sold extremely well.

Tim has also promoted numerous international DJ tours throughout the
Pacific. He remains committed to bringing the best international artists and
DJs to this region of the world, often playing the support slot on many of
these tours to hone his skills as a DJ. Some of the artists he has supported
and promoted include DJ Sneak, Sandy Riviera, Tom Middleton, Mark Doyle (Hed
Kandi), Kaskade, Mark Farina, Mateo & Matos, Deep Swing, Miguel Migs, Jay-J,
and many more.

Always ambitious Tim is now concentrating on production as he looks to
commit his own unique sound to vinyl. His first production project has been
under the name of Solidarity. The first ever Solidarity track ŒFind A Way¹
was co-produced by Jay-J (Moulton Studios San Franciso) and has been signed
to Hed Kandi for global release.

Tim is now busy working on a Solidarity album which will feature Tim Phin
collaborations with artists such as Eddie Amador, Deep Swing, Kaskade and
Mateo & Matos.

Still just 27 years old, Tim has achieved much in his home country of New
Zealand. Now one of the countries most recognised and bankable DJs, he is
turning his sights on the global dancefloor.
