Man, Do I love Sara's writing.  I knew Francois K.  would be the shit, given
I have like 10 of his records ("Time & Space" is top 5 in my book).
Couldn't make it 'cause our visiting friends from out of town wanted to go
to a bar where we could sit down and have a conversation (went to El Carmen
and then Oasis).  I understand that of course, but I figured once the
alcohol got going I'd be able to convince them to move it to Larchmont. All
in vain.  Now that I learn how FK played some fuckin' Police, I'm steamin'
mad with jealousy for not attending.

The next night, yet another friend prevented me from going to Futurehouse.
He didn't want to be at an 18+ event.  Instead, we went to Deep.  Despite
Futurehouse in town, Deep was packed (house is dead, they say? LONG LIVE
HOUSE!!).
First time there. Pretty cool, liked the vibe. The only thing that was
irritating is the constant way the volume and/or the bass would suddenly
drop something like 7 times per track.  It sounded more like clipping than
actual deliberate action by the DJ.  Remembering a positive suggestion made
by someone during the "houze is dead" thread, I decided to ignore these
technical issues and blissfully danced the night away.  I think I'm gonna go
back for Jay J.

Back in the office on MLK day.  Which 'causes me to reflect.  I too have a
dream....that one day, my profits will rise to Trump levels, and when that
day comes, Me and ALL of my children, will never again be required to go
back into the office...free at last, free at last....(i know, a little
selfish, but hey, I'm at work, so I'm bummin'....)

Hope to see at least some of y'all soon, maybe this Wed. at Good Life.
