[Dynagroove] Mark Farina Loves the Sunshine...

I have to say... and I don't mean to offend anyone... but I know there are  
ALOT of Farina haters on this list, or people who have given up on him after  
hearing 2-3 bad sets of his. These people were not @ DEEP last night. If they  
were... they would be keeping their mouth's shut. Mark Farina is who he is for 
 what he does. He's magical. He's like a character on H.R. Puff n Stuff. Last 
 night A DJ really saved my life. 
 
I got to DEEP early last night just in case there were going to be 8  million 
people lined around the corner, and to my suprise it wasn't that bad.  
Marques was playing super good and chunky early on so I had a pretty good  feeling 
that Mark was going to take it from wherever Marques had it. So after  about an 
hour and a half of Marques, the cute little man named Farina who I want  to 
put in my pocket came on. From record/CDR number one we ALL knew it was time  
to get FUN-KEY. His technical skills were SO on point. His programming was  
flawless like one big song, it just flowed. 
 
It was also refreshing to hear him say to me when asked, "Are you having  
fun?" he said, "Yeah, these people are makin me sweat up here." That is the  
third good set I have heard Mark play since the DEEP 5 year as well as the 2  disc 
set of him and Derrick Carter. So.. I came to a conclusion... the more love  
LA shows, the more love they(djs) will show. Except in DC(Derrick  Carter) 
case where he just hates LA.
 
Now... for all the people that say Farina's not like he used to blah blah  
blah... True he is not like he used to be... Are you like you used to be? Do you 
 still wear the same clothes you did 8 years ago? Are you listening to the 
SAME  music you did 8 years ago.. Are you playing the same records you did 8 
years  ago.. if applicable? No... I don't think you were....People and music 
change.  That is what makes the world go round... (well the CandyMan makes the 
world go  around too.he sprinkles it with joy... ) That is how we learn new 
things and new  sounds and see different views on different things. It almost seems 
that people  are scared of change. Change can be beautiful if you let it!!!
 
Enough of my bitching... Im sorry if this offended some people but it  really 
bothers me when people bitch about something and then don't support at  all 
and see if that view of theirs can be changed. 
 
To Susan LaForum the b day gal. I love you so much and hope you had a  
wonderful B day weekend! 
 
To My Queen Bee... Im going to miss you more than Cher misses Sonny, more  
than Charles missed Princess Di. What's the reefer club going to do without you? 
 Maybe since I am treasurer we can save monies to get you out here for  
DynaBITTIES.
