Wow...talk about some memories. Sometimes I wonder how I've made it this far.

I love the Melodic's, always did. One of those parties you HAVE to make it
to (if not for the music, for the sweaty shirtless guy doing flips in the
crowd...hee hee).

Bang the Drum was always fun too. I loved the sound stage (except for
those rafters outside...I remember when one almost fell on someone's head,
but it was caught in time and some people took some time out to secure
them). You can always expect quality events from Sue. I miss the
Firehouse, but I can't say much since I'm not in LA that often these days.

Man oh man.... do I remember this night.... For those of you who know me,
you know I'm not big on drugs....BUT I WAS ON THIS NIGHT. I had no idea
what was going on when it got busted. I was seeing walls of light that I
could not penetrate until I stopped to re-group. All of my friends were
running in different directions (the ones that I could still recognize)
and I felt helpless. I remember Scotty and Sue trying to tell me where to
go for "the after party," but I couldn't make out the words. Almost like I
was in my own episode of Charlie Brown or my own Pink Floyd video ("your
lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying") Luckily, one of my
friends was stranded and was good enough to drive my truck home. I haven't
done drugs at a party since then...well, except those yummy collared
greens!!

A couple added memories....

Since you mentioned the Spanish Kitchen. I remember a night there with Dub
Tribe and Moonbeam singing live. Huge patio area with mad fruit. Good
times that night.

Also, I don't know if this was a Melodic or a Bassment Funk, but it was at
that location off of Cesar Chavez Blvd. I hated that area (got held up at
gunpoint one night), but I loved some of the parties there. I think that
was the first night I heard Mark Farina! He played some yummy ass house
music and all of the lovely jams with hip hop, Maxwell, etc... Do I have
my locations right? Could've been a different night, but if not, Bassment
Funk was fun too.
