AWWW, nothing like going down memory lane! You all have touched on some of my most precious memories. Here are a few more parties that stick out in my mind.
(In no particular order)
Circa '97: At the time, rubber bullets flying at a bunch of harmless ravers was pretty devastating! We didn't even get a proper countdown to the new year! But looking back, I think its f'ing hilarious to say I was part of a "Raver-Riot"!
The Hollywood Sound Stage: Such sweet memories of that location! I always enjoyed myself whether it was pitch black or anime projections illuminated the walls! Those were the days we were all speaker freakers dancing in unision.
LOVE: 1. First time I realized the tremendous talents of dj's other than DJ Trance and Thomas Michael - he he. 2. Mark Farina at that ranch out in BFE.
MELODIC!!!: My first featured 5 hours of Mark Farina throwing it down in a tiny ass hotbox downtown. After that, I was like a crack addict waiting for my next Melodic fix. Heather f'cked it up at the Casa del Sol! Diz and Iz filled that giant loft with the most fierce energy! Even the Melodic parties that got broken up were able to capture that intoxicating feeling! Unfortunately, the last few paties they held in Pamona were more than forgettable!
JuJu Beats at Santa's Village: Location, Location, Location!! How beautiful was that!!?!! I think every DJ played "The Music Sounds Better With You!" that night, but I loved every second of it!!!
Dubtribe at the Alexandria: Probably my first live act experience - and it was a powerful one at that!! Sunshine Jones moved me to tears on the dancefloor.
Plastikman at the Glass House: That man blew my mind! The only thing we could say was "WOW!" and "That was crazy!" the entire car trip back to San Diego.
Free Parties at Venic Beach: Everybody Loves the Sunshine!!!
House of Dreams: That morning, I witnessed the funniest thing ever as a few thousand ravers threw their arms out, palms up, and made circles in true jane fonda fashion...and back two three four five six seven eight and back two three four...
Unlock the House: There was no better way to work up a Thanksgiving appetite than sweating it out to Doc all night long!!
Funky Techno Tribe at the Park Plaza Hotel: That party getting busted was a travesty! Luckily, I was enjoying Bassment Jaxx while everyone else was getting tossed out!
Wednesday nights: Always the perfect way to find a mid-week fix! Then: RELEASE //
Now: Heading Home!
Earthdance: Who remembers the naked guy being chased by the cops through the crowd?
RTD @ the Federal Building: How exciting to see a bunch of ravers standing up for their right to dance.
Body Rock Dj's: Whether it be a wherehouse or a park party, they always bring the energy!
Cosmic Disco: How could anyone not enjoy themselves at one of Jhyme's
parties?!? (Hey where is that guy anyway?)
Wicked!: The entire wicked crew brought true knowlege to the dancefloor at the 10 year anniversary! The parties back in the day were always good too!
Tropical-Sunset boat party: Couldn't have asked for a more perfect night-period!
T.B.C...Let's keep those good times comin' guys!!!
