[Dynagroove] ATL house music scene?

How lucky you are - I am from Atlanta and all my best friends own clubs or DJ. 
they have some of the best house DJ's there, so you will be very busy. It's a fun, metropolitan city that thrives on house (not just hip hop!) 

Some tips: Stay away from Buckhead. Nothing but jiggy. You'll find what you want in midtown, downtown or east Atlanta. You'll find that most of these places are very beautiful and elegant.

I miss Atlanta, I'm going there for the weekend next week... 

My favorites: 

Halo - Basement of the Biltmore. Always a great place, very chic
My buddy Mike owns it, so send him my love.. Jerrod's the best Bartender...
They get some really great DJ's coming through there. I had my buddies from Praful spin there and I've met Andy Caldwell and Nicola Conte through Halo. 

Monday nights are industry nights so Free Alcohol
Wednesday - decent night
Thursday - we call it Gaylo. nuff said
Saturday - one of my best friends Rodd spins there - housey lounge 

MJQ - Ponce de Leon Ave. underground club - literally. 
Wednesday - part 80's part old skool
Saturday nights are really dope - deep house all night long.... well, until you find out where the afterhours is going to be that night. my buddy Kai Alce spins there, and he's really the shit. everyone's sweating up in there because it's all about dancing... Good buddies with Marques Wyatt. If you see Kai, tell him Bonnie says hi!

Compoound - this is new on the West side
Friday nights Kai spins there too.

This is a world class venue with an amazing outdoor pool/fountain - lots of great acts come through there. From Theivery to DJ Rap to Jr. Vasquez. It's equivalent to what you'd see at Avalon on Saturdays and I've seen some Spundae type stuff too. Try to get the VIP card as soon as you can. my friends Kevin O and others spin there. 

The Mark
it really varies, but they usually have great stuff most nights of the week.

does anybody know anything about the house music scene in atlanta?  i'm moving there in a month or so... the scene there probably wouldn't compare to what we have out here (and i know i'm gonna miss it), but there's got to be something good out there, too. =)  i appreciate any info....
