WOW! I'm still reeling!!
About 10 of us just back from Detroit earlier this week while attending the
Movement Festival . It was my first pilgrimage chaperoned by 8 other vets...
A large scale, 3-day, free event without the large scale, 3-day, free event
hassles. Only to be topped by the numerous parties at the end of each day
within walking distance of the festival at Hart Plaza, which is a Detroit
riverfront location at the terminus of the first paved road in America,
Michigan Highway 1... and with GM's world headquarters looming 73 stories
right next to it.
The best party we went to was Paxahau's Yel2 party... hands down... Featuring
Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Mathew Jonson, Matthew Dear, Derek Plaslaiko and
others to name a few.

Cade, perhaps we could entice you to book Mathew Jonson for a live PA next
time he's out this way.... hmmm? I'll try to get you a set for you to listen
to.
This past weekend clearly exceeded my expectations and I came back with a
greater appreciation for Techno and new artists to follow.. So many amazing
performances and most of them were live PA's.
If you haven't been out to the 313 for this event, then I highly recommend it.
It's certainly more affordable than Miami's WMC, with a true underground feel
in a city that doesn't treat electronic music as an underground genre and with
out the exclusivity of the Miami events.
Amy.... now it's time for me to say, for once..... If you didn't go to
Detroit, YOU missed out! *giggle*
Amanda M.... where were you? I was expecting you to be leading the LA posse
out there!
and Raz.. save your shekels this year... I expect to see you out there next
Memorial Weekend... it'll be well worth your coin.

I know it's not exactly related to the DG list but I thought it'd be kewl to
share if anyone was interested.
Cheers!
