I think djs were alot more consistent before everyone and their mother
became a dj and started to pick apart everyones mixing styles. Also, you
here alot more lame nights from djs because, lets face it, were hearing
the same djs that are booked party after party that we used to wait and
anticipate for, that are now commonplace. I used to look forward to most
of these big djs, and then they just started to play here more often,
giving me more of a chance to listen and pick apart the set and style.
They may be awesome djs, but when you are playing to the same audience you
see everytime you come out and the parties are not up to par and
anticipated like they used to be...remember...djs need to feed off the
crowd just as much as we need to feed off the music. So enough with holdin
up the walls, analyzing and standing around...lets dance a little more and
we might just have fun again listening to the music. remember the
saying... too many chiefs, not enough indians?
