  Yehhh... hmm

  >From what I remember it seems to be the same frustrations about the same
DJs that are at the same parties...

I think the key word should be different. Different DJ's, different
artists, different formats... hey how bout a Live PA or two?

LA needs a good shot in the arm... artists and sounds that aren't gonna
treat us with kid gloves. Half the excitement for me when I wanna go out is to
hear someone new, a different texture. Push my limits, test my expectations,
gimme some fresh complexity in percussion and sound... someone new needs to
be thrown in the mix.... Matt Jonson, Magda, Matt Dear, John Tejada (he's in
LA.. c'mon), Hakan Libdo, Ellen Alien, Ryan Elliot or at least someone from
Ghostly.. Hawtin, Desantis, Villalobos, Plaslaiko.. I'm jus rattleing off some
of which I've only hear parts from... and they get booked... but in other
cities.

I know it's hard throwing events.. and I can only imagine the risk involved
in booking someone new... and it's especially hard when your customers are
commin in... and every time they want the blue plate special.. because it's
good.. it always has been just good.. as it was when they had it last time...
and the time before that...

I dunno... perhaps I'm way off on this... perhaps this isn't the right
forum. I really dig the people in this scene.. I think I'm ready for it to
evolve a li'l. [shrug]

Out of curiousity, since you just dissed four of the
most prominent Chicago House DJ's... who DO you
consider the king/queen of Chicago house?

Bad Boy Bill? Its alright if it is.. I'm just asking.
