I must say I had a real good time. Solid Gold is definately a lot of
fun.

I started the night out by swinging by the venue I am using for dynagroove
to drop off a deposite... damn this venue is going to bump.. I just have
to figure out how to set it up the proper Dynagroove sort of way... then
I was off to the taco stand to set up.

I arrived at the taco stand with all my equipment, two black eyes, a
seperated rib, a hurt knee, and a twisted ankle. Don't ask each thing is
a story in itself. But lucky my fellow Solid Gold DJ was already there.
So we unloaded only to find out that the Taco Stand had installed a new
STAGE!! It cut the dance floor way down!... so after some quick review we
decided to change up the spot to put the tables to maximize the dance
space. I have to say that it woked out great! I think it made the floor
seem larger and nopt so streached. It was cool. I think the sound was
really good and the whole floor was had good sound no matter where you
danced.

I started the night out.. I will try and run down the tracks I played some
of which I don't know the names only the lyrics:

sweet love
sade - smooth operator
music an wine
fracis K - some latin track I forgot the name of

and I forgot the rest

Zack came on next and by then there was actually people there.. ahaha I
may have played to about 8 people. zack brought it up imediatly. But
for some reason I can't for the life of me remember wwhat he was playing.
I know I heard "funk ohenominon" at one point it the night. ahhaa. When
it was my turn to go back on the place was packed. Again I am drawing a
blank. I think I played some of these.

Jon Cutler - it's yours
JT Donaldson's - how do I live my life
peppermint jams - back and forth and side to side
stevie wonder - all I do
wham - forgot the name of the track

Zack went on again and really brought it up... the place started to drip.
It was packed and people were hooting and hollering. Ben from bodyrocks
was jackin! Just straight jackin! And for some stupid reason I can't
remember a track that zack played. man the night is like a mistery I can
barly remember some of the stuff I played!! Zacks allocated 45 minutes
was up and went back on:

Sunshine people
bob sinclair's paradise
rock with you
sing it back
bushes
micheal jackson - pyt

Zack was on again and he started to bring it down.. Which was good for me
beacause I had plenty of deeper stuff that I wanted to get too... But
hell don't ask me what he played.. I know he dropped Dee Lite the groove
is in the heart.. My turn:

Larry Heard - Lets party down
fonda rae
MFON - got me dreamin
armed and extreemly douglass
mousse T - the more you want

damn I can't believ I have no idea what else I played... man my brain is
gone... I will tell you what most people wennt nuts to Armed and extreemly
douglas. that track rocked.. even zack was like "Damn I forgot about
this track." but people wree straight freaking out....

Zack came on last and played some dubribe and shakedown.... people were
seriously going nuts.. but the night came to an end and everyone was
happy.. but then! Then I dropped Lenny Kravits - Go my way... at first
people were confused... then they started to boogie... how fun!

What a great night!

don't forget to add your comments on the pics

www.dynagroove.com and then click on the solid gold link.

THANKS for everyone who came and showed the love.. you guys made one hell
of a night.. I hope dynagroove will have this feel also!!!

you guys are the best

Cade

hey guys, had some people ask about if there's anything going on in the
Inland Empire house wise, and i just figured i'd give a little heads up for
anyone that might be interested... here are a couple of events put on by
some of our friends and neighbours and (we recommend) are worth checking out
if you're in the area...

chocolate, thursday nites @ the Vault Martini Bar
#20 E Vine St, Redlands CA 92374
info : (909) 798-2399
-very nice venue, chill yet classy, dark and candle lit with wooden floors
and paneling... beautiful people, sweet...

good thursdays, thursdays at Worthington's Tavern
(3587 University Ave, downtown Riverside -2 doors down from the Back to the
Grind Coffeshop)
intimate dive bar-like atmosphere with a great crowd and a great scene... a
little more gritty and down to earth but that's the way (uh-huh-uh-huh) we
like it... =P. they play some dope underground hip-hop and downtempo in the
early part of the evening and finish the night of with house... resident
Jayson Soto is actually one of the better house dj's this side of the IE,
much respect...
okay, here's a plug... special guest this week @ good thursdays Thursday
March 11th:
darren c from the inland_deep... (that's me!) ...laying down the funki!

...and, don't forget this Sat March 13th the SOUL SHAKEDOWN w/ Zack Hill,
Lando and the inland_deep crew... woo hoo! Main Room, outdoor chill patio, 2
rooms of music, cheap drinks, FREE b4 11, only $5 after, and them funky
funky vibes! hope some of you's can make it, ;).

-darren.

ps: i had a dope time @ solid gold.... it was solid! i hope i wasn't being
too faded!

woah! i can't believe its here already!!! shakedown #2!!! woah, i'm just
speechless. last time it was the same nite as tropical and my heart was torn
in two. my trusty sidekick of party, james and i braved the "drive of doom"
though...long beach to riverside to los angeles to long beach once again
(well worth it for both i must add).
but now, now my friends its on.
as if my boys from the 909 wern't enough (i remember all your positive
reviews after darren and hector played at free thinking!) zach hill and
lando are gonna me there too??? they're all right, i guess ;-p but we all
know darren's where it's really at.

SO COME ONE COME ALL TO RIVERSIDE AND DANCE TO THE BEAT OF THE INLAND
DEEP!!!
oooo that sorta rhymed!

all love!
regina
