I've decided to go with the Rane Rotary because of the improved sound
quality on the mixer for my PA System. The warm sound is steps above the
pioneer and the ability to cut the entire frequency on each channel is a
nice addition.

I realize how some may not like the rotary mixer, but I think the
majority prefer it (Correct me if I'm wrong). There's just something
about how smooth it makes the mixes.

I'm still interested in a JBL EON G2 if anybody has one for sale let me
know (only the G2 version please) for a monitor for focus.

But from now on FOCUS will have the Rane Rotary w/ matching EQs.

what's wrong w/the pioneer?  if it ain't broke, don't
fix it--spend your money on good monitors. (yeah,
ben!)

frankly, i HATE rotary knob mixers.  it forces you to
mix a certain way, and the last thing i want from a
mixer is limitations.  if you want to mix rotary style
on the the pioneer, just use the gains--i like options
(e.g., faders.)  

speaking of limitations, any mixer that doesn't have
mids is archaic to me--especially if you're mixing
house.  the lows need to be the lows, not the low &
low mids--some of those singers voices are in the low
midrange...  

sure the rane prolly has better sound quality than the
pioneer, but you're sure paying for it...+
