i think most of the reviews summed up the night quite nicely. hot, dark,
sweaty, white cups, and people having a damn good time...oh plus cookies.
(kelly you are so fabulous!) i spent all day yesterday recovering.

thanks to everyone that came out and came out early. i know that there was
incentive with the nice discount at the door. but, we all know that for
most, even $15 off wont get people out early. so, big thanks to everyone
that came early and showed some LA love and respect to the brazilian boys.
i hope you all felt it was worth it.

the music was phenomenal!! renato started off the night with a solid set.
nice and funky and chunky and so solidly programmed (he has the flu, and a
really bad case of it. so bummy for him.) jamie took it over...i havent
heard jamie play a non-closing set in awhile and it was good to hear him.
i am usually not the biggest fan of live sets, but prztz and gongoloid
brought some serious energy with them. this is when i got to dance. and
dance i did. and then came diz, and diz was in the house. sigh.

if you had the chance to say hi to the brazilians, i hope you did. cause
their accents are beautiful and they kiss you hello and good-bye. why dont
americans do this?

special thanks to the drivers (aaron, zack and todd for stepping up),
sara, kelly (damn girl!!), all those that came and danced their butts off
and cade.

i know that cade always puts forth extra efforts to make sure that the
venue is great, the set up allows maximum space for dancing, the sound is
awesome and everybody working (including the djs), and in attendance, has
a great time. i think his generosity was in full force on saturday night,
from the timeslots, to the discounts, to bringing us new international
talent, and diz again.

there are a ton of pictures up. so go, leave some comments and relieve us
our boredom at work.

zoki.
