Monkey bars, that was a good set on powertools saturday night. The horns,
the activity, nice stuff. There definitely some creative
infusions in your set. I'm truly going to make it a point to catch more of
you performances in the future.
Although, at the time i wish i had been listening to the bodyrock set @ born
to funk... except I couldnt take anymore of what was being played prior to
them. The "born to funk" venue was dope, but the djs brought the suck
striaght from the rave days. I remember john holeyfield being much
better... wha happen? Jordan was ok, but everybody else that played before
2am... ugh. In the main room with the 2x4's... i totally loved how you
guys would drop a cool, kickass song, (i.e. outkast, james brown, de la
soul, or just something that was funky) then follow it up with some crap
that threw the groove in the totally opposite direction.
