[Dynagroove] $20 for what?

The weekend has past. The workweek has begun.  Futurehouse is this weekend and
I say HALLELUJAH to that!

Friday night I went to bed at 7pm.  No outings in preparation for DC at
Avalon.

Saturday night.  Hmm...well.  My night was not so hot.  It's very hard to
party with a big crowd of people that arent all there for the same reason that
you are.  Greenskeepers were great.  I must say that.  But, DC, man....he was
gettin me going for a while at the beginning but he lost me.  I enjoyed
hearing "Sandwiches" but after that I lost my appetite.  A damper was pretty
much locked onto my night when one of my friends was sold a $20 "mint" by some
shady girl in a pink top named "Charline."  Beware of this girl in the pink
top; she is selling mints for $20!  I gave up on the night and went home
around 3am.  Anyone stay till the end?

Last night I went to a place downtown called "Vertigos"  to see Mount Simms
play, but I think that this show was falsely advertised.  No Mount Sims.  Only
some shitty band and Barry Weaver.  Did you know he is an electroclash DJ now?
I didnt.

All in all, my weekend was giant let-down.  I leave my hope in the hands of
Madonna on Thursday and Futurehouse this weekend.

I had almost given up on Derrick Carter until I got to work today.  There in
the mail was something that reminded me of how fantabulous DC can really be.
He played at an Om party a couple months back with Mark Farina.  The set was
recorded live and they are releasing it.  I popped in one of the discs (DC's)
and the first thing I heard were the joyful moans of the crowd at Mezzanine in
San Francisco that night.  (This party is atop my list of party experiences,
check the archives.) I heard my own voice in the crowd :] and told myself that
I will still give him a chance the next time he passes through town.
