[Dynagroove] Fashionably Late Dyna SD Review w/ a story

i don't get out like i used to, nor do i ever post anymore, but even though i'm a little late, I just can't keep my mouth shut about last weekend and it would be cool if y'all would read on!  It was beautiful to have dynagroove in SD, 
in an intimate loft in the gaslamp when i'm used to Ole madrid bullshit...Nice!  Big thanks to Battlemonkey for the hospitality.  Haven't been treated that well at a party since....uh...i guess its been a while.  Complimentary micro brew and water, pimp sound system, Diz/Cade/Lamont/Jamie...well you know that beats were going to get ridiculous.  The room temperature proved that the crowd was getting down but I found that a cold beer always alleviated that problem.  

Diz fucked it up like usual, kinda knew he would bring the funk to SD although I didn't quite stay till the end to see the finale.  It was cool to see some peeps I haven't seen in a while, and I met a lot of quality people during the evening as well.  This was one of those nights that spoils you and makes you realize that a lot of the other shit you're going to is crap.  I've been spoiled for a long time w/ Dynagroove!  

So what could possibly put any damper on the night?  I'll try to remain as positive and rational as I can, but its difficult... thanks for letting me get this message out Mr. Nelson.  So my luck has not been the best in the last few months and whether i'm cursed or not doesn't really affect the story.  You'll figure out where this is going soon.  So after going thru 2 digital cameras in 4 months, one stolen, one smashed, both presents to my girlfriend, I could finally afford a really pimp canon a85.  If you know cameras you know.  Anyways, I got the 3rd camera and took it to SD to well...take pictures.  Don't usually take large objects into parties cuz I can't dance, but wanted to get pics of all my friends I haven't seen in months, the Dj's, etc...i knew it would be a special night.  

So after about 3 hours of having a dope ass time i'm sitting in the back bobbing my head to Diz on the decks, taking pictures of the crowd, showing a few people the pics on the lcd.  I blow some smoke in the air and a crowd quickly assembles around to engage in the ganja.  I'm always down with helping out the homies, smoker's know.  Remember, i'm sitting down on the back wall at the time, no room for anyone on either side.  I had put the camera halfway in my pocket so I could get my smoke on.  After a couple minutes I stood up and realized my pocket felt light.....Guess what?  If you read this far you know already.  

Now, shit gets stolen, that's a fact of life.  I'll tell what really upsets me about this.  Did it cost a lot of money, yup, did I have a 512 MB card in it, yup, did I have pictures of my friends, pics of Diz and my girl, yup...but that's not really it.  This party was 200-250 people max. The guys that owned it were dope, I know the Dj's, I know the dynacrew, you had to be with someone on the list to get in, etc...I think everyone in there felt pretty comfortable.  Shit, there were computers, prescription drugs  several purses and a bunch of other valuables all over the place.  

So basically, I smoke someone out, I turn the other way and they take my camera.  I have reached a point in my life where I just couldn't pull that kind of shit, and thinking that someone can live with themselves while they are looking at pictures of my cat, my girlfriend and my family kinda gets under my skin.  I guess the whole point is, yes I can be careless, but it still takes a rotten soul to take advantage of someone like that.  My girlfriend couldn't hold her tears back, the picture on the website of the guy that wants to shoot himself in the head...well ya, that's me.  Diz, Cade and Zoki were cool enough to help me look, but you can't see in peoples pockets.  

There's always going to be shady fuckers around, its just sad that sometimes you can't blink without getting rocked in the ass like that.  Somebody that is on this list knows the person that took it, that bothers me, In the pictures on the website I can see myself just before and just after the camera disappeared, funny that a couple guys right next to me were gone right after that, that bothers me.  I know they/him are in some of the pictures.   I can't accuse anybody, but karma is a motherfucker, so I hope you enjoy taking pictures with my camera.  

This did fuck up my night, i will admit, but I can take nothing away from Dynagroove, Lamont, Cade, Diz, Jamie, and the Battlemonkey boys, they put together a great event.  So maybe my message is be careful, watch your possessions....
maybe its a sad statement about humanity for all of us that try to do the right thing...who knows?  My briefcase with my laptop/camera/watch/sunglasses/100cds was stolen a few months ago so i might just be doomed, but damn... Thanks if you read this, and another thank you to Dyna.  At least it happened after I had a few hours of fun!  And whoever jacked me and his friends that think its cool, may your souls burn eternally, and may your mother's be cursed for giving birth!
