It's been awhile but I figured I'll spill my beans on this weekend endeavor.......

Here goes: Friday I spun at my weekly/bi-weekly club called Moderations w/ DJ Joplin (God Dam girl! Your record collection, programming and mixing are well respected in my world!) The crowd was small but intimate. With a laid back atmosphere, Venice Beach Locals and House Heads a like, the vibe was perfect to start off the weekend.

Saturday, I started the night mixing records w/ Joplin n’ friends at the Canal Club. The sound was bumpin and the drinks are hell-a-cheap…..People don’t sleep on this club, if you want to hear the sounds of House, I strongly suggest hitting up the Canal Club. It’s the best place to hear house music at it’s finest, especially when you mix the Westside Atmosphere, reminds me of that Imperial Dub track,”Cool breeze”! Soon after 11:30pm , I was off to Dyngroove's 6 Year Anniversary event. First off: Cade Nelson, That Was The Best Dynagroove Party To Date! Can't Wait For The Next One! I got their w/ my beautiful girlfriend, Miss. Kelly, around midnight right before DIZ got on. I was unfortunate to hear Cade & Jamie's set but hearing DIZ sure made up for the late arrival. His style of music & programming was a perfect example that Chicago was in the house! Walking around the bathroom line to see the dance floor packed was a real soul shocker! I never seen that place so pac
 ked
before in all the events I've been to at that location. The sound system was well thought of, especially if you’re one of those promoters who thinks like a dance still: Speakers in the back for those who love to dance w/ their eyes closed! The outside patio was like a reunion in session, seeing old friends and making new ones. I love those types of parties where House Music inspires people to come out and show their faces…L.A. love’s you for that ! ! !

After DIZ, the Brazil Boys got on and continued the vibe of one perfect evening. With their techy, deep, funky style, Brazil definitely represented. Then with much anticipation, DJ Heather got on and closed the party properly, with a little of that Chicago Style House…..The mixing & programming was enough for me to right this weekly review…Heather killed it! In short, thank you Cade Nelson for one memorable party!

Till Next Time,
