Comparing Dynagroove to How Sweet It Is is like comparing Mini Coopers to
Hum-V's ~ IMPOSSIBLE!!! Anyone who intended on going to HSII should have been
aware that they were attending a rave. That's what it was in the 90's and
that's what it is still today, a full-blown RAVE!!! Just as in the past, HSII
included massive crowds of intoxicated individuals, candied-out kids, huge
stages, ellaborate lazers and banging dj sets. Nothing about the party has
changed, just you the party-goers. So, if you went and had a bad experience,
it's because your expectations were not realistic.

Perhaps with the passing of time, your memories of the good ol rave days
have become a little skewed or murky. Now that you have evolved into a more
mature and knowledgeable House Snob, you've chosen to forget about the fuzzy
pants and mikey mouse gloves that hide in the bottom of your closet. Well let
me remind you, since day one, my friends at B3 put their hearts and souls into
each and every one of their events. They provided wonderous environments
where you could immerse yourself in the music and the vibe. They were
responsible for bringing you together with thousands of other passionate party-goers
to experience something the rest of the world would never understand. They
took you to places and on journeys that were yet to be imagined. Can anyone
honestly dispute that? I didn't think so!

I attended How Sweet It Is, and quite frankly, I enjoyed myself! Once I got
past the initial moment when I felt ancient and decrepit, I was able to get
into the spirit of the party. I walked through the crowd in amazement
thinking, "Wow, there really are still candy kids out there". I was amused to see
that the ravers of the 21st century came equipped with teched- out party
props like blinking pacifiers and motorized light shows. I was tickled to watch
the youngens "make some noise" on Donald Glaude's command. I found joy in
telling some newbie the rockin dj was non other than Sneak. All in all, the
experiences today's ravers are seeking closely mimic those I was having almost
10 years ago. In reality, it doesn't seem like so long ago that I was one
of those colorful kids sitting in a circle of strangers sharing my bag of
candy. I know for a fact that I shared those experiences with many of you out
there in dynaland. I met some of my oldest party friends in the midst
of all
the craziness at those raves. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the
world!

I'll admit, I won't be attending another massive for quite some time. I too
have moved on to appreciate the intimacy that I find in the dark warehouse
parties. However, I will not turn my back on my past or condemn those who are
still able to enjoy the madness of the massives.

Many thanks and much love goes out to B3!
Carrie

BTW: My favorite quote of the night came from Mike T. "I wish I was 17"
hahahahahaha
