wasn't this when he played on the patio? the patio has never been known for "mixing"...in fact, aside from the Muse nights, no one ever mixes on the patio. Yeah, i don't like it either, but the outside area is just a place to go to relax and have a smoke in between dancing ...not a place to hear someone mixing or scratching or showing their wonderful artistic talents. He played his ipod because his records are all house and he was asked to play on the patio. This was by no fault of his. When he spins, he brings it. We'll all see this Friday. :)
anyways, how many people on this list go to FT to hear the djs on the patio anyways? (well, aside from Muse nights...i like me a little dnb from time to time)

Sorry we did not explain further. I have no issues when a DJ incorporates music from a cd player, ipod, laptop, etc with vinyl. However, James' last appearance was not an "incorporation" of the iPod. He actually stood on stage- held his iPod in his hand and just pressed play- he'd then find another song while browsing through his iPod, select it, and that song would play next. I could have done just as good of a job standing up there myself with an iPod. It was actually kinda funny and everyone in the crowd looked a bit confused too.
