Here’s my weekend review….

Thursday: while working for corporate America, I got a small case of food poisoning which I ended up vomiting all night long…I was planning on attending The Flow to support my friends, Eddie B. & Anne but sometimes mother nature controls us all! Fun, Fun, Fun hah L

Friday: Went back to work feeling like as if I partied all week long (like shit), drink a full bottle of pedialyte & pulled off a miracle… Got off work around 5pm, went home, rested & went to some sushi/bar lounge in Venice Beach.

Saturday: I woke up feeling like I did Thursday evening & started vomiting all over again. By the time my friends came up from the O.C. to go to Village, I started to feel healthier again. When my roommate & company finally departed to the forest around 4pm, I started going through my entire record collection, preparing for nice jamming set while feeling better & better as time progressed. When my girlfriend & I finally got everything packed up, it was off to the forest. We arrived to the party little less than 30 minutes, picked up a stranger who couldn’t ride his motorcycle off road & was rewarded a few Coronas for the nice deed. J Thanks Tim, whoever you are & where ever you are, keep the good vibes rolling my friend! When we finally drove up to the party over the final stream, you could hear the bumpin bass all through out the forest. We parked our car near some friends who actually had our tent set up for us, unloaded all of the equipment & out of nowhere, the firs
 t person
I saw was Jordan… We hugged & talked, took some pictures then it was off to explore the wonderful world he created for me & my friends…When I turned on my battery operated light sticks and headed towards the main room, DJ’n at the time was Nonfiction & Josh Billing. I walked down to the second room to hear my roommate, Shaun Velarde lay down some classic cuts. Said hello to his girl, Maggie, which I heard dropped a sick set, then off to do some more hello’s & how are you’s to all of my DJ friends who were present. Since the party was outdoor & their were no projectors/club lights, it was really hard to find people in the dark but luckily I had my light sticks to guide me to all my peoples…Took tons of photos w/ all of my friends & danced as if I was 15 years old again, but this time, I wasn’t in Barstow or Death Valley or in the mountains of San Francisco, I was 30 minutes outside the Los Angeles which was really rare for my experience of outdoor gatherings.

Heard all the local DJ’s display their craft & was really impressed on the overall support everyone showed for the event…By the time the sun came up, I was very fortunate to be allowed to grace the VILLAGE decks around 9:30am. From the moment I laid down my first cut, I noticed friends coming out of nowhere, gathering near the DJ booth as if the music was brining them together… Seeing people start to dance under the sun in the early mourning was something special to me, that till this day, will probably be in my memory for the rest of my life! When Rylan got on the decks around 11am, me & my friends started to help out by picking up everyone’s trash that was left behind. When noon rolled by, I said good bye to my friend Jordan, Josh, Holly, Ami & Pete Williams, The O.C Crew & all of my friends who stayed to the end. Got home fairly quickly, hung out w/ a few friends from the Village party, ordered some food then passed out around 4pm.

Monday: Just like Dub Tribe’s “We use to dance”, start all over again w/ my Corporate America job & recover….

The End
