so i had such a fabulous time at elevate last night that i didnt go to
work today.  i'm not sure if it was the soul numbing need for 3 more hours
of sleep or the flamin hot limey cheeto bomb that was still in my stomach
when i woke up this morning that made me do it, but i called in sick.

and damn, what a nice day to play hookie, ay?  ::looks outside::

i had never been to detroit bar before.  what a classy joint!  the place
was filled up nicely and the more open room's floor had people on it all
night.  the smaller room where doc link was playing kept emptying and then
refilling.  jason blakemore was tearing it up, on the real.  doc was
playing good stuff too.  we love hearing tracks with "black man talking."
we also like "white man talking."  DAVE RAPE likes "british man talking." 
i like them all.

i also want to publicly thank mr jose, missy and the whole crew for their
hospitality.  THEY DO IT RIGHT.  the party was so. much. fun.  it's always
refreshing to go out where there is some fresh steeze goin on.  the oc has
their groove goin, no doubt.  we started the party early with some
taquitos, chicken, and turnover things that hit the spot like the roach
coach just couldn't.  there was even candy laid out all over the place.
mmmm....skittles.  my name's skittle.  here, have a bracelet.

time to go outside,
