Warning I am extreemly biased on my own events... So things may seem
greater then they really were. ahaha

Friday was free thinkn with the gravy boys and jungle on the patio. What
was going on that night because I was pretty happy with the ladies in the
house. ahahah... The boys played very well I was a bit out of it because
I had just gotten of the plane and rushed over to free thinkin. But what
I heard and comprehended was good. I like Joe rod set the most. But they
other guys were just OK I guess. ahah just kinnding guys. everyone
played well. I liked the Safty dance remix.. woo hoo. A good night with
a good crowd..

Saturday was ultragroove and hands down p[robably the hardest party I have
ever done setup wise. When I arrived at the location the elevator was
unavailble and we had a lot to load up. that is three flights of stairs
folks!!!! We must have done about 10 - 15 runs each. By the end of it my
legs were killing me. The good news is I have a firmer butt! want to fel
it? *wink* anyway SO the elevatr eventually got crackin and we were able
to load the rest of the stuff in. We knew the venue was going to be kind
of big for the event so we did our best to shrink it up and create a nice
warm area for the dance floor. They toys for tot marines showed up and
set up shop and we were ready to go. The night started off with about 40
ravers showing up early with toys in hand. Ravers yes I said it.
Pacifiers and Glowsticks in all. A lot of people frown on this but most
of those same people used to be ravers themselves. Stumbling into house
eventually. SO Violet and I were very happy to hopefullmake some
converts.. Joeshua was our special opening guest DJ and I must say that
he did an excelent job warming the ravers up. ahah and some of the house
head. I actually think he played superb and I was into his records. I
have sen Joeshua grow as a DJ over the years and I definately see him
gaining a lot more attention in the near future especially with his
formation of the MAUF parties. Keep your eye out for that

Next up was bodyrockindjs (AKA bodyrockdjs) the started brilliantly with
some good house music and slowly progressed into there patented
breakie-housie-tech vibe. The dancefloor really started to fill up for
them. The highlight of their set is when they broughtit up the ravers
staretd getting realy excited and I saw one dance so hard that he slipped
and fell. I hope U don't get sued. ahaha. They boys then brought it
down to house again to set up for James Curd (set #1).

James came on and that BPM went right up but he was playing that bangin
chicago sound I like so much. Probably one of the best sets I heard from
james. He was playing a lot of stuff I had not ever heard and thats what
I like most in a DJ. The great think about james is he gets trashed and
also works up a sweat. He bops all over the place and just looks like he
is having a blast... We let him play and extra 30 minutes because the
crowd was so into it.

I came on next and ended up going on a disco house tangent. I don't know
how it happened it was unplanned but I got a lot of smiles while I was
playing so that was a lot of fun. However I found that Blue Monday by
New Order can kind of kill a vibe. ahaha I thought I was being somewhat
creative and I would blindside the crowd and they would get excited. Umnn
well they just kind of looked at me like I was crazy.. ahahah sorry folks.
SO then I shot back into some house for a few tracks and then up comes
James Curd. He was not how we say too sober... "You man let me drop this
track!?!?!" I had already played for an hour and something so I was like
"sure"

James Curd set number 2... At around 4:45 james hops back on the deck
and drops hip-hop, Disco, R&B, and house. It was an eclectic mix that I
thought was dope as hell.. See he can change it up and the crowd gets into
it. and then i get a lil off track and people look at me like I am Loco...
So james closes the night out with an eclectic set.

Over all a great party though. We had a big space and it was hard to fill
but it was great to raise over 200 toys for the the toys 4 tots. the
marines were very impressed with the quality of gofts that were brought.
they were also enjoying themselves.

Thanks to all who helped out.. Thanks to vanyo for the sound.. thanks
fro carlitos for working with us. Thanks to the bodyrockdjs, james curd,
and joeshua... for mixin it up... Another successfull party under
ourbelt!!

Thanks for your continued support all!!
