& Mike E Feeney's going away party -
*** WINTER WONDERLAND THEME! be creative!
with special guests:
Luke Solomon (Freaks, Classic, MFF - UK) - Luke Solomon's involvement in the
music industry began almost ten years ago when in 1992 he was hired to buy
dance tracks for an old soul record shop in North London. Not content with
toiling away in a retail position, he soon formed a recording partnership with
his co-worker Ty Holden and completed remixes for labels such as Freetown and
Black Sunshine. Soon after Freetown picked up the young Luke to work in
promotions for their rapidly expanding dance label that went on to sign such
acts as Robert Owens, Master at Work, Kerri Chandler, Ron Trent and Lee John.
Meanwhile Luke's DJing career was taking off after a humble start DJing at his
university in Middlesex. By 1995 he was a resident DJ on the now legendary
pirate radio station 'Girls FM' where he met his partner in crime, Kenny
Hawkes. This partnership spawned their residency at 'Space', in central
London's Bar Rumba which has just celebrated it's fifth birthday and continues
to attract big name DJs such as Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Francois K, Carl Cox
and Dave Morales. By this point Luke had also moved on from Freetown to work
in A&R for Roger Sanchez and Marts Andrups.
In 1996 Luke began recording with Rob Mello from Sensory Productions, under
the artist names of 'Heaven and Earth' and 'Purple Haze', with tracks released
on Prescription Underground, Freetown and Guidance. They also released tracks
on Luke's new label, Classic Music Company, which was formed with Chicago don,
Derrick Carter and Luke's own label spin off, Acid. Justin Harris soon entered
the arena and they began producing under the guises of Freaks, The Electric
Imbalance Allstars, Robotic Movement and The Unknown. By 1999 the label Music
For Freaks was established which unleashed their own freaky, formidable
creations on the world and has grown alongside Classic to be one of most
highly regarded dance labels of it's time.

Aero b2b World Renowned (Almost Famous - LA) - A San Diego native, Aero has
transplanted himself and his dancefloor crashing sound north to the city of
angels and back again. Hard and Dark, is the style that we've come to expect
from this man in the box, who has been rinsing out on the west coast since
'98. From Warehouses to residencies at the now defunct RECON and BLUEPRINT
weeklys, this true junglist has shown that he is in his own when behind the
decks delivering sets that truly make the crowds stomp. Aero also prides
himself on bringing crowds the newest possible plates. "The scene is all about
progression, people always want to hear the newest tracks possible, if you
can't deliver then you might loose them" and deliver he does, devoting much of
his time to getting the freshest material that you've never heard. Affiliating
himself with Almost Famous, AM/FM and Redemption Sound, Aero has cemented his
claim as a Southern California resident. With potential abound, this dj plans
for the future and the realization of his dream of global dancefloor
dominance.
Born in Texas in 1975, Riccardo aka DJ World Renowned spent most of his life
in sunny Los Angeles. He was a fan of music from an early age, his first
memory being a call to a local station with a request for a Madness track.
Having spent his early college years raving and most of the rest of his years
listening to and playing indie rock, Riccardo returned to Drum N Bass in 2000.
It was the sounds of Dom and Roland´s Can´t Punish Me that brought him back
into the fold. World Renowned specializes in progressive techno based drum n
bass. Always looking to share his sound with other drum n bass fans, World
Renowned is available for booking at most dates and locations. In 2003 World
Renowned formed Almost Famous Productions, in order to pursue the production
of drum n bass events in Los Angeles. Almost Famous has since produced 4
events in Los Angeles with great response and support from local fans. In 2004
World Renowned began producing drum n bass tracks.

Afshar (Scentdjs- LA)
Originally from the UK, Afshar moved to San Diego and enjoyed the Rave scene'
of the early 90's. Before long his passion for the music led him to start
Djing and in 98 he
held his first residency called Mothers Milk at 'The Flame' in San Diego. Here
he established himself as a keen Dj with partner Dj Ascension as the UK Sound
Council. Together they
hosted recording artists and Djs such as Gene Rene of Soulstice, Ashton B and
Ministry of Sound's Ian B. As a resident of GETM (a non-profit collaboration
of artists whose goal is to promote 'PEEP'.Personal Empowerment, Environment
and Peace) Afshar played and taught djing at schools and events around San
Diego, promoting awareness and creativity.
In 2000 he became a resident at Dreamer, a Tuesday night social and had the
privilege of playing at the Funky Tekno Tribe festival in San Diego that year.
In Aug 2001 he was invited to play at the Area One Music Festival VIP Party
alongside Moby, Quest Love and Dr. Alex Patterson of the Orb and in 2003 was
invited to spin the main set at the psychedelic rock band 'Phishs' after
party. More recently Afshar has opened for world class Djs like Nigel
Richards, Scott Hardkiss, Jeno, Barry Weaver, Q-Burns Abstract Message and
Mark E Quark while playing the San Diego to San Fransisco circuit. In
2003-2004 he started a monthly deep house adventure called 'Speakeasy'. Afshar
visually/musically created the Speakeasy vibe, giving the Honey Bee Hive a
Speakeasy like 'basement' feel, mixing in swing remixes from the 1920' swith
his regular set. In 2003 Afshar was invited to go to Miami Ft Lauderdale where
he spun at one of the only house nights in town at Karma keeping the cosy
upskale bar jumping untill his last track. Then he was off to Seattle
Washington where he played at the legendary Merchants Bar. Merchants use to
home to such greats as Billy Holiday, Patsy Kline and BB King, Afshar rocked
the crowd to his signature blend of funky house and white lable remixes
keeping the Merchants musical tradition alive in 21st Century style. Every
year since 1998 Afshar has been invited to play at SOULSTICE, just out of San
Diego it is a gathering of like minded creative individuals who throw an
annual 'desert party' in celebration of the summer solstice. In 2005 Afshar
was asked back and this time to play the coveted sunrise set where he moved
the crowed of dancers to a mix of deep tech, west coast deep house and melodic
breaks. In 2005 Afshar moved to Los Angeles, upon arrival he was invited to
play the after-party for the band 'Wide Spread Panic' at the Wilturn. After
years of playing to regular and eclectic crowds his experience helped him keep
this diverse group dancing until the light came on.
