DJ’ing house music locally in Los Angeles for years, Todd began his passion for music making after securing a position at 20th Century Fox Film in 1994 as a sound effects editor. By working on films such as The X-Files, Brokedown Palace, and There’s Something About Mary, he joined the Sound Editors Guild and progressed technically and professionally within the film community. His continued desire for the studio life lead him and current partner Jesse Brooks to purchase former “Beastie Boys”’ studio in Atwater Village, where the two quickly developed “The Atwater Syndicate”. The “Syndicate” now has numerous vinyl releases on Kinetic Grooves, Offset Music UK, Deep Dish’s famed Yoshitoshi Recordings, and Electronic Music’s prestigious Global Underground compilation CD sets.
