what's the word, my friends?  it feels so fucking good to be back.  with
that being said...

i have to share with you the events of the last weekend.  i know it is a
little late but i have been sick as a dog all week.  (note:  take a lot of
vitamins if you plan on moving from the cold and wet east coast to the dry
and warm west coast in the dead of fucking winter).  Free Thinking and
Sublevel last weekend were a lot of fun for me but what I really want to
make mention of is my Secret Lovin' Valentine's Day evenin'...  JILL
MOTHER FUCKIN SCOTT AT THE UNIVERSAL MOTHER FUCKIN AMPITHEATRE.  It was
the reason why I came back to LA when I did.   Jill made me move cross
country to come see her ass.  The day was like surreal, getting ready and
mentally preparing myself.  I would have thought I would be more animated
and stuff, but I was actually quite reserved.  I knew I was in for a treat
and I had utter confidence I would not be let down in the least.  Finally
the time came to head over.  We didn't listen to Jill in the car or
anything, I wanted a fresh auditory pallette for when the queen with the
nappy hair raised her first (those are some lyrics from her newest album,
btw, i'm not saying she is nappy).    I was trying to feel the energy, if
any, in the air given off by what she would be wearing.  i was praying
homegirl would be rocking like a lime green daishiki with sequins coupled
with like a serious headpiece in pink or something.  i also wouldn't have
minded a tiara of sorts.  but sequiuns were a must for me.  and guess what
she stepped out onto the stage wearing??  a white flowy pantsuit with a
white SEQUINSED jacket, i was stoked as all get out.  she played all the
songs i wanted to hear, gave as much time and energy to her first album as
she did to her newest.  it was all i could have asked for.  and she
sounded excactly how i expected her too.  i fell even deeper in love.  she
was so cute!!

and if seeing jill werent treat enough (this deserves a new paragraph)... 
youll never believe who was sitting in our area, just kickin it.  gettin
down to some jill just like the rest fo us...  eddie murphy, chris rock,
johnny cochran, quest love, a bunch of basketball players and... dot dot
dot...  FUCKING PRINCE.  prince was so fucking close to us i could smell
his cologne!!  and i think it was a designer imposter (just kidding).  but
one of the times that prince walked up past us...  HE HAD TOILET PAPER ON
HIS PRINCE BOOT HEEL.  How do you tell Prince he has tp on his shoe? 
another thing about prince was that he had on one of the most exquisitley
tailored purple and black suits i have ever seen on a human.  the trim and
the craftmanship, where the shoulder sem fell on his shulders, it was
AMAZING.  the composition of is ensemble was what i was most impressed
with regarding prince. it was quite the star studded night.  and let me
reitterate, it is good to be back!

so now, free thinking this eve, yes?  let's all get down for lando's
birfday and for some dallas talent.  and tomorrow is...
