I've been in that situation before. DJs come to you while you're spinning
with info that you have to get off the decks early. Then later when
confronted, the promoter is not willing to take the responsibility for the
situation.

Now when this happens, while I am still spinning, I politely ask that the 
promoter come and explain the timeslot situation himself,   If its the
truth, 
then it shouldnt be an issue for him to explain it personally, and really
this is how the info should arrive to the active DJ in the first place, not
from another DJ.

that being said, 50 minutes is still a decent amount of time, not like a
being cut down to a 30 min set or something.
