[Dynagroove] Some comments please

Well honestly I don't like the Rane rotary 2016 much but I do think Ranes
are made way better made than Pioneers - they sound better, they record
better, they don't distort as much when the djs push the volume, and they
don't break as much. They don't have effects so amateur djs don't get to
flange every mix, which is nice too. I agree it's totally annoying to hear
how everyone's dream mixer is the Rane rotary 2016 - particularly those who
have never actually used one before (or they might realize that the way it's
laid out is actually a big pain in the ass. Also I think it's funny to hear
people talk about how much everyone loves rotary mixing in Europe depsite
the fact that every European dj I've brought hates it and says that very few
people use rotary mixers there I (can't recall ever mising on one there
myself). I think that was another cool thing to say, that it's more
European to use a rotary, wow... Anyway, I think the Pioneer 500 or 600 is
a good mixer, better than average, certainly preferable to Stanton, Numark,
and most of the rest. But I will take a non-rotary Rane (MP 44) or an Allen
and Heath over a Pioneer anyday. But this is just my opinion and the truth
is, if I show up for a gig and it's a Rane, Allen and Heath, or Pioneer, I
am totally happy with it. And if it's something else I'm not going to
complain as long as it's working ok. Definitely more important than
anything is to have a fun crowd to play for. A wack mixer and a wack crowd
is not too much fun though, try to avoid that combo :)
