re MORE: ya there were a few off nights, but it always turned out to be a 
problem with the main board....when the house system was running well, the 
pioneer sounded great.

re tubes: fuck me, you guys are right...i thought tubes made that shit 
sounded great....guess it's solid state.  funny thing is i don't even know what the 
fuck solid state means.

re urei vs. rane:  i don't know what the specs say, but i doubt you would 
find any big dj anywhere in the world that would say the rane 2016 sounds even 
close to the Urei.  There's a reason the Joe Claussell's and Louie Vega's choose 
a Urei (or now the a&e) over the much more DJ friendly rane.  I've heard a 
million arguments about rane vs. pioneer vs. vestax, etc.....i've never heard 
anyone compare the sound of a rane to a urei.

but again, in my opinion, if the main system is on point, the pioneer sounds 
great and is fun as hell.  just played Detroit Bar last night on a 600 and had 
the best time i've had in a long time.  the place was eq'd just right and the 
pioneer sounded great and let me really play with the music.
