Tonight we come together to celebrate Summer Solstice... (and it's a Full
Moon, too!)

"Summer solstice, or Midsummer, marks the midway point between the spring
and fall equinox - the midpoint between planting and harvesting. According
to Shakespearean legend, it's a day for dreams to come true. The word
solstice is derived from two Latin words: "Sol," meaning sun, and "sistere,"

meaning to stand still. On the summer solstice, the sun is at its zenith and
seems to stand still for several days. Ancient civilizations could mark the
passing of time by the length of shadows."
