this weekend went way way way too fast...how the hell is it monday already?

for those who havent made it to casey's yet, you should come and check it
out. parking is a breeze and you dont have to deal with hollywood traffic.
the venue is small and intimate with these beautiful rich wood walls that
make it feel dark and warm.  the ceilings are lower, which made me notice
that guys are a lot taller than i thought. and cade is right, there are a
lot of hot girls that show up at that new venue. but the people seem way
more laid back than at the crowd at boardners. louis and cade worked the
orientation of the tables out this past friday, which made for a much
better dance floor set up.

i was very excited to see some faces show after i gave them directions at
the park party! yay me and my promoting abilities!

cade played a fantastic set of new tracks from chicago...and whoah...miles
meada!!! holy crap!!! his set was nice and chunky, just how i like it. i
could not stop bobbing my head, even when my feet were too tired to move.
i was sad to not stay til the end, but i have this problem when i get
hungry and i needed to go home and eat. i'm not kidding.

i am very exciting for jt donaldson this friday!!! its gonna be hot!


and on to sunday's meet n greet...i had a super time. but what do you
really need to have a super time at a meet n greet?

1. a sunny day - check
2. a pool - check
3. yummy food - check (mmmmm...corn on the cob...mmmm)
4. amy ricketts - check
5. pool toys for cade and matt - check
6. good music - check (cade hit the music review already, but i was
especially impressed with james's set, and ben's ability to make a solid
gold track sound new)
7. the ability to berate every guy that won't get into the pool (i.e.,
louis, neil...) - check
8. a good bathing suit - check

i gave the whole day two thumbs up!! big thanks to every one who came...it
was the same core usual suspects, but there were a few faces missed. and
there was a number of people i finally got to talk to and meet for the
first time.

thanks to theory for hosting this year, and thanks to everyone else that
came, conversed, swam, danced, drank, ate, shared their food, etc. etc.
etc.
it was awesomely fun.
