I just felt compelled to say a few words about our
wonderful house community here in L.A. We are
constantly spoiled by the never ending choices of
great music on a daily basis, I myself find it hard to
choose where to go. I know I am biased being the
promoter for Greenhouse @ the muse in Pasadena, but I
need to say a few things about our venue. Forget what
you know, or think you know about Pasadena, and
consider our venue which houses one of the best
in-house sound systems I've ever heard. Think about
the fact that we have been able to make an arrangement
with a venue of this size and quality to bring you
house music primarily for free, and offer rediculous
drink specials. Consider the fact that you can park
anywhere in old town pasadena on the street after 9pn
for free. Consider the fact that we are able to bring
you DJ's like Wally Callerio (tonight), Joplin, Mr.
Annand, Q-burns, Uniting Souls, Cade, and on and on
and on, for close to nothing. Our turnout has been
consistently good, but I ask you the house community
who have not yet come out to give us a look and
realize how hard it is to come by a venue like this
for a house event and be able to charge close to
nothing. So why Pasadena? That's why...keep this great
thing in the hands of the house world and out of the
hands of another mainstream attempt at blah...I'm not
saying we're going anywhere, because we're not (we've
got too much a good thing and too much support)...but
I am saying you-the house community need to come see
for yourself. After all, that's what we're there for.
And why not on a night like tonight with DJ/producer
Wally Callerio? For free b4 11pm, $3 after...that's
hard to beat. And trust me, we're not in it for the
money, we're in it for the vibe-the vibe that only you
beautiful people can bring in the house world. (trust
me, we could register ourselves as a non-profit
organization). Anyhow, 'nuff said, right? Hope to see
you all there.
peace and respect,
Tim
