Being from the midwest rather than the west coast, I am curious... was
acid house ever BIG in LA in the 90s?
Acid house was HUGE in the midwest at that time and I loved every minute
of it. Since I moved here 7 years ago (can it have been that long ago?) I
have been missing my acid house. I would be happy to see it get big in LA
so I can dance to those crazy beats once again.
It's too bad my fave acid DJ, Terrry Mullan, doesn't play any more. I miss
Terry! (If ya wanna hear some SICK acid check out terry's "New School
Fusion 2.0", "NSF 2.5", or "Lost in the Sound." AMAZING acid mixes!) His
other mixes are fantastic as well, but those 3 are very "acidic" to use
someone else's word. I like that... acidic. ph 1!
Bring on the acid house!

"We searched the world over
looking for a sound
a sound that ran deep
deep underground
finally we found it
ending our quest
a sound that continued
to do its best
Our search then continued
looking for a name
a name that would claim
all sorts of fame
finally we found it
ending our search
a name that proved to us
that it could really work
We called the sound acid
The name that came to be
A member,
at home,
in the house family
So as you go on
jacking to the groove
we continue with the sound
that makes your body move.
Acid...
Acid...
Acid...
Let's jack the house!"
