MORGAN PAGE [Bedrock, SAW, Lowdown]
"Cease & Desist" CD release party (Free CDs to the first 15 people through
the door)
w/ opening set by Hoang

Morgan Page is going to need a good lawyer. After a string of massive
singles for labels like *Bedrock*, *SAW*, and *Nordic Trax*, and a *BBC Top
40 hit*, he's releasing the first ever white label album, complete with
artwork. Designed to break through the clutter of faceless 12" releases that
permeate record shops each year, "Cease & Desist" offers 9 complete remixes.
Spanning from classical composer *Antone Dvorak*, to alternative icons *
Coldplay*, the album covers a wide scope of styles, all within the framework
of house music and breaks.

It all started in 1999 when Morgan was working in college radio and remixed
"Angels" by *Wax Poetic feat.* *Norah **Jones*, using the acapella from the
12" single. The band (including Norah herself) loved the mix, and it was
passed around Atlantic Records' offices and played throughout college radio.
Despite never getting an official release, the song was pressed on vinyl and
became an underground hit.

Years later, Morgan began creating more of these unauthorized mixes.
Fascinated by the public reaction and crossover appeal, he took things one
step further - carving out the original sonic elements and adding live bass
and guitar to provide a new foundation for each track. After getting a
tremendous reaction to the mixes from *radio DJs*, *club DJs*, and *music
supervisors*, Morgan felt compelled to release these mixes as one complete
package, accessible to DJs and music fans alike. Together, these tracks show
Morgan's versatility as a highly sought-after remixer and accomplished
artist. Each mix takes the original in a new direction: melting genres and
blurring the lines between mainstream and underground appeal. From the funk
laden "White Shadows," to the epic strings of "Symphony #9" Cease & Desist
is bound to change a few minds about electronic music and garner a few
friendly lawsuits in the process.
