this is not music related, but very important...
 
I want to urge any of you who haven't already donated to please donate to the redcross or any of the other groups that are helping with hurricane relief...  Some people might think, "well I can't even afford anything right now"...but if you think of it, even if you only have ten dollars to your name, you can still donate half of that.  You'll see another pay check...these people won't be seeing anything for a very long time. 
 
We are all very fortunate to have the lives we have and a roof over our head.  Shit, you're on this damn computer reading this right now, so you obviously have money for your cable or dsl.  For those of you who smoke...you can afford 5 dollars for a pack of cigarettes can't you?  So why not sacrifice that so that someone who has no home, no food, no clothing can have at least a little piece of mind???  Someone from my work lived in the Mississippi area and he now has no home, no car, no clothing...it's all gone.  This is the case for thousands of people out there.  Now imagine if one day you woke up and had nothing?  Your whole life just taken from you...wouldn't you hope for people to be kind and care enough to reach out?
 
Sacrifice your $40 dinner out, your $10 movie ticket, a couple of little things here and there.  ...carpool if you need to save some gas money to make a donation....make a much needed sacrifice because your fellow man needs you.  I hardly call giving up anything a sacrifice in this situation.  We can ALL give up something.
