and the plans to bring even more urban development to Downtown LA. To us
this news is somewhat expected since the place has been for sale for a
few years now, but, we never imagine some one would tear it down. I know
some have had some good and bad times at that place but in the big
picture of nightclubs and venues in LA, the grand is a unique venue with
one of the last few remaining Grandpa licenses which made it possible
for events like futurehouse to go on with music all night long. We will
be loosing one of the only places where we could risk lots of money on a
show and have some peace of mind knowing that it was held at a legal
venue which came with the perks of a wharehouse party. also for me the
place holds an extra special place in my heart since i basically started
partying there long long time ago. I wanted to share the news with some
of you as i know some may have some good memories of the place and
events that were held there in the past. I also wanted to take this
oportunity to ask you to join us on this futurehouse 10 and we pay
respect to the venue by decorating it and bringing extra sound and lighs
so that hopefully for this night we can bring it back to it's glory days
of the early 90s (remember the lights would come down and the mirror
ball would be within a hand's reach). so join us for one last dance at
the Grand Ave. or as many of us know it best "the shark  club".
