to answer Lucas' question...no, Justin Hale never played trance at raves a long time ago. He's always been house...always. I can play you a ton of cds if you like...lol. Ask Boz, I remember Boz commenting on his set at Connection last year...definitely FAR from anything remotely close to trance...lol. I don't even think the man would own a trance cd. He did used to come down here a lot to play when Michael Liu (a trance dj) was also playing...and yes, they used to play "raves" (gosh, people sure do forget where everything stemmed from..lol)...so maybe that is where your confusion lies...it's ok though. :)

...and yes Lucas, I think we're all ready for a beach party!! BRING IT!! :)

Re Slinky:

sorry this a long one

Yo wassup Duhveed, Lando, and Alicia,
 first:
I have never been on the line-up for a slinky party before.... but waking up
the next morning when I heard the music stop I think my brain (or just me )
was inviting itself to play some records and my friend jay said,"play some
stuff while we break down" I was like that sounds like fun. Plus there are
still 30-40 peeps here that are not ready to drive home--- soo....one of my
friends was doing sound and the bass bins that they were using for that
event belonged to an old partner of mine ( meaning they needed bass bins and
I had a hook-up) from forever ago there was gas left in the generator. Soo
no biggie I did end up closing the party sorry....didn't mean to confuse any
one I can sometimes be persuasive.

second:
Please understand if I saw this line-up I would think it were a trance party
(if I didin't know y'all) of some sort too the only time you see Justin
Hale's name in a line-up---- most people that I know think RAVE or trance.
Justin Hale does play on the harder side of house and I believe used to play
trance (not really sure haven't seen him play in forever I think it was at a
Rave) and some peeps dig him and some dog him.

There is a lot of local house dj's on the line-up ( not all of them are
really well known enough that any old houser or club goer would just know) :
Joplin, Jus Ben, and Lando are the only ones I have heard play..and form
what I know stick to house or variations of house..Sorry Alex I have never
heard you play and the other two guys I have never even heard of.

third:
I think it is positve to post what ever kind of gigs whether they are house,
breaks, old school techno or whatever on any list as long as the music is
good and there is a actual perfromance like some to watch and enjoy. It's
all about the progression of good talent and music that makes the scene go
round not just the supporting of the homies. I say if you don't like the
party or the vibe of the party don't go.--- but otherwise sometimes it's
cool to take risks and check out something new this obviously isn't
something new but whatevs...the people throwing the party have a lot of
heart.

Mad love and support to all...

now who is ready for a friggin beach party!!!!!!!!

to all the dj's who have played the beach party
I have just replaced all the faders on my mixers and we are ready....
