> 1> List a few things abouts DJs that are annoying...

I know Cade will disagree with me 100% on this first one...When DJs feel
the need to play ONLY new tracks... just because a record is NEW doesn't
make it GOOD. (Classics are called classics because they have withstood
the test of time... how many of the new tracks that you hear on an average
Saturday night will withstand the test of time?) I am not saying that DJs
should only play classics. I am saying that they should just play GOOD
records, and not restrict themselves to records of a certain age.

When DJs travel to cities other than their own, and alter their sets to
meet some pre-conceived notion of what they THINK the fans in that city
want to hear. In my experience in multiple parts of the country, DJs
often play MUCH harder in LA than they would in other cities. Duh, if a
promoter books you, it's because he/she likes YOUR sound, and wants you to
play YOUR sound, NOT alter your sound.

DJs who after YEARS, STILL can't mix. Lots of so-called legends fall into
this category.

DJs who overcharge... it starts a trend and makes quality parties
unaffordable.

> 2> Annoying things about promoters

When promoters throw essentially the SAME party over and over...

When promoters overhype their talent. Let the talent prove itself.
