[Dynagroove] Technics 1200 tuneup?

Does anyone on here have any experience calibrating technics 1200's ?
mine seem a little out of whack, and pitch controls may need some 
adjusting..
I've seen instructions before on the net how to do it, but I'm curious
if anybody has done it themselves?
I would like to know what i'm getting intobefore I set off trying it myself? 
Or am I just better off taking it to someone who specializes in that type of 
thing.? I called a local repair place
which wanted $125 to check em out, which seemed kinda steep..
Or if anyone can reccomend a someone who does tuneups for less $$ in OC 
area,m or point me to a good tuturial on the net how to do it myself easily 
?
