[Dynagroove] The flip side of a long weekend....

I stayed home for the most part...but I did go to Nocturnal Wonderland.
Doc just plain laid waste to the place. By his last 2 tracks you would
have thought it was NYE 1999! Seriously slammin' set....I missed Julius
Papp, but I caught most of Miguel Migs w/Lisa Shaw. They kinda had to
lower the tempo when she would sing, but it was great none the less. I
was surprised how great she sounded...really nice. Migs played much more
up-tempo than I am used to...reminded me of him playing with Marques at
the 1st Giant/Spundae NYE show on Hollywood Boulevard a few years back.
Kaskade close out the House area and as always, he never disappoints
(and always in open toed shoes!). Great set and even dropped the remix
of Gnarles Barkley "Crazy". The crowd ate it up....it was a fun show
with top-notch talent in the outdoors...great way to end the summer.
Hernan Cattaeno played after that in the Main Room. I didn't catch it
but heard he tore it up and had the place jumpin' too. Bummed I had to
be outside promoting as he doesn't play LA nearly enough...
Also, Z-Trip was at MOCHA on Saturday night....one of my promoters was
there, but did anyone else make it?
I would love to hear feedback.
thanks,
-pat
