So I must say it was a very good weekend for music in LA. I know you
guys are probably squeezing your willy about Mark Farina. But that is
not what I am talking about (besides most people described his set as
"ok") I am talking about first

NO ASSEMBLY AT KINESIC!!!

How on point is dan-x and and justin long??

Those guys tore it up and we have proof! We have the sets recorded!
ha! The vibe was high as I saw people who don't normally dance dancing
their booties off.. I think dan-x needs to come out here and play on
his own. the boy can hold his own. And of course justin long really
holds it down. I am excited to team him and diz up.

Then there was saturday..

Beatnik -

What a fun little night with added adventure. We had a great setup
with the hooka lounge and lighting. Also the new and improved sound
sounded really good. Thanks to missy's mixer lol.

The night started great with mi$$y rocking the beats. Funky stuff
that you would hear from a olivier or a joey youngman.. I was
surprised. I was ready fopr this girly stuff that you can sing along
to and she just straght dumped the beats on us...

Joe Rod was up next and he played stuff I have never heard. Dark
techie but with some funk behind it. The crowd seemed to enjoy this.
I was a little worried that the transition to my poppy disco induced
stuff would not flow to well with the crowd. Joe held it down as as
the room filled up to a comfortable spot. A job well done...

I got to play next. woo hoo! very rarely do I get to play good
timeslots.. SO I tried to play some of my more bangin tracks that I
don't get to play that often. The crowd seemed to have accepted it
and I just banged my set away. But the high;ight of my set was when a
guy came up to me and asked me "Hey man are you going to play house?"
lol

Nonfiction up next and he took over the reigns with no problem. Kept
the dance floor occupied with his own flava of funk! I have heard
nonfiction grow over the years. I remember his first few sets I heard
from him and I thought to myself "this guy has promis." and it is nice
to see that he is growing in the right direction. Solid mixing and
great track selection... He had the crowd hoot. then he had a hollar
or two lol.

A funny thing happened too. WE GOT ROBBED! these cholo looking kids
grabbed the cashbox and ran. Poor missy at the door was pretty upset.
However after it was all said and done it is kind of humorous. I
had just emptied the cash box out so there was probably only $30 - $60
left in there in change. These silly kids probably spent the next 3-4
hours breaking into the cash box only to make $10 - $20 each lol. 4
hours of work for $10 - $20.. Karma is a bitch lol...

Thanks to everyone who came out and showed the love this weekend.

Next weekend should be fun too!

See you at my cherry popping hawt appearence!!

Cade
