Hey everyone, You all know Street Sounds has been here for 20 years
supporting the Dance Music scene in Los Angeles. With that said, we're
doing a new round of promotions for the store and would like any
andall test pressings, mixed cd's, and posters (signed if possible) so
we can post them up and continue to play the best music for our
customers.

Also, if any of you are in town, we encourage you to stop
by or call (in advance) so we can take photo's, demo's, or setup an in
store promotion with you. The dance music industry has changed so
much, but the love of music that we all share hasn't changed. We are
very excited about the revised web site at www.streetsounds.com, and
new digital download service. Unfortunately we've run into some
delays, but hang on because it will be up soon to service all dj's,
artist's and producers, both old and new.

The downloads that will become available will stay within the
tradition of Street Sounds providing you with the best of House,
Progressive, Trance, Techno, DnBass, New School Breaks, Break Beat,
Downtempo, Hip Hop, Battle Tools, and all sub genre's that you can
think of including underground& main stream titles. We also have a
large selection of industry related clothing, magazines, slipmats, and
record cases. Come on down to the store and do your part to help
support dance music in Los Angeles.

STREET SOUNDS IS STILL LA'S MOST PROMINENT RECORD STORE!!!

Thank you,

Bob Bagha

Hello everyone...I wanted to send out an update about how the records
are going.

1st off - WOW! I had no idea that there were so many people who would be
interested in this. You would think that with all the record stores in
LA closing down in the last couple of years that no one is interested in
buying in stores anymore. Well, that's what I thought and I have been
blown away! In less than 10 days we have already sold over 3 crates of
records (about 300)!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS :o)

2nd - If you did not already read the email from Nate, Street Sounds
will consign YOUR records too. We are trying to build back up the DJ
community that has been lost. If DJ's are coming into the store to buy
and others are there to sell, it should help to get things going. Since
being at the store a little, I have run into people/DJ's who had moved
out of state, dropped out of the scene or just plain had not seen in
years....GREAT!

3rd - I brought in 2 new crates yesterday. TONS of Tracks by Joey
Negro/Z Records, lots of UK & French Tracks hammered by Derrick Carter,
Mark Farina, Diz, etc, and a lot of Vocal NYC/Philly/Jersey Soulful
House by Basement Boys, DJ Oji, Tony Humphries, Byron Stingly, Benji
Candelario....also, more stuff on Peppermint Jam, Subliminal, Swing
City, Naked Music, Cajual, Strictly Rhythm and much, much more...I have
been bringing in ALL of my classics on Vinyl.

Original Pressings of tracks like:
Naked Music NYC - "It's Love" (Joshua Remix) [from mark farina's united
DJ's mix #9]
Narcotic Squad - "The Potion" (on Narcotic Records, Roger Sanchez's
label from 1994-1997)
Glenn Underground & CEI-BEI - "House Music Will Never Die (Cajual
Records MOST Hard to find Track)
Pete Heller - "Sunshine Love" (White Label early Promo of 'Big Love'
before he added the vocal)
Eddie Amador - "Rise" & "House Music the Message" (original pressings on
Yoshitoshi)
DubTribe - "Do It Now" (Original Vocal Mix and Knee Deep Mix)
Dimitri from Paris "A Night at the Playboy Mansion" (double pack
includes Dim's remix of "Talkin' All That Jazz")
Matthew 'Herbert' Herbert - "Parts" (Extremely Rare triple-pack from
1996 - early tech house on Phono UK)
Gypsy Kings & Masters At Work - "Ami Wa-Wa" (KenLou Rework and other MAW
Mixes)
Those Guys - "American Poem" (Original Basement Boys release from 1998
with spoke word - sick!)
Negrocan - "Cada Vez" (Grant Nelson's Original Vocal Mix - yes, THAT mix!)
Moodyman - "The Dancer" (Sexy Vocals by Norma Jean Bell & includes DJ
Tonka Remix)
Wamdue Project - "Where Do We Go" (Armand Van Helden's Last Hustle In
Paris Mix)
Kings Of Tomorrow - "Fade II Black" (Original double-pack on Yoshitoshi
w/Roger S. Mixes)
Jamiroquai - "Synkronized" & "Return of the Space Cowboy" (Original LP's
on vinyl)
Swing 52 - "The Joy You Bring" (Classic Vocal track hammered at Does
Your Momma Know circa 1996/1997)
Karizma - "Shades of K" (his first release on BB without Spen - sick
deep funk from Baltimore)
Greenskeepers - "Should I Sing Like This" (Classic Music Co track
hammered by EVERY Chi-Town DJ out there)
MAW feat. Jody Watley - "I Love to Love" (Pasta Boys Vocal Remix)
The Universal Brotherhood - "When Love Comes Down" (produced by DYMK's
Tony Largo - VERY deep!)
Blaze - "My Beat" (THE Derrick Carter Remix - VERY hard to find)
Shaun Escofrey - "Days Like This" (double pack includes Original and
Spen & Karizma Vocal/Dubs)
Bob Marley - "Rastaman Vibration" (Phats & Smalls Remix - circa 1998/1999)
Yogi Haughton - "25 Years After The Casino Experiment" (Rare Northern UK
chunky/funky deep house)
Pepe Bradock - "Un Pepe de Ore" (HUGE French Disco House track - major
play from Mark Farina - 1996)
Mike Dixon - "2 Sum Swang" (G-Swing Records - Chicago Swing House...nuff
said)
Submission - "Women Beat Their Men" (Cevin Fisher's classic house anthem)
Tito Puente Jr - "Oye Como Va" (Joey Mustaphia's SICK rework of this
Latin classic - RARE)
Sundiata K.M. - "Make It Happen" (Flammable Liquid Classic - Ron Trent's
percussive house classic)
and many more...

Hit me up if you have any questions or are looking for a particular
track....and again, thanks for the suppport!
