Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve.  I did!!

I am very interested in hearing reviews of the LA area parties, especially
the ($150) Deep party.

After reviewing my NYE options I decided to stay a few extra days in 
Detroit where I was visiting my family.

I went to a party at a small club downtown Detroit where Terrence Parker
played a 5 hour set for only $15!  He was amazing as always, and pretty
much everyone who was there was present specifically to hear him, so the
vibe was thick!

I always love the amazing mixture of people in Detroit.  It's unlike any
other city I've in which I've attended house events. On this particular
night there was about a 50/50 mix of white and black folks, with a handful
of middle Easterners in there as well.  (Did you know that the Detroit
metro area has the world's largest population of Middle Eastern people
living outside the Middle East? Fun fact!) Pretty much everyone there was
at LEAST 25, with the majority of folks in their 30's.  And EVERYBODY was
certainly gettin' their boogie on.  My kind of crowd!

Anyway, I hope your NYE was as fun as mine.  I'd love to hear about it!
